Course Description: This course is designed to facilitate students to acquire skills that enable them to produce products and to utilize the acquired skills for employment and leisure. The Clothing, Textiles, and Fashion curriculum class focuses on developing an understanding of key theoretical concepts and on practicing skills associated with the areas of clothing, textiles, and fashion.  There is a balance of personal and work-based skills promoted throughout the class.  Practical application of the knowledge and skills will be demonstrated in projects reflected at both the personal and work level.

Belizean studies focus on the geographical space contained within and culturally connected to Belize.  It uses techniques and concepts of anthropology, geography, history, philosophy, literature and sociology to explore the environmental political, economic, social, cultural and technological origins and development of Belize in a global context. This course will increase understanding of how people’s interactions with each other and the environment have and continue to shape Belize.   

Integrated Science is concerned with the Biological, physical and chemical properties of substances and the interaction of energy and matter.

The study of life skills enables students to become a well- rounded individual who appreciates him/herself and knows that he/she is special in God’s sight. Life skills encourages the student to see his/her individuality and to respect the individuality of others. On the road to discovery, the student is able to learn who he/she is and why he/she is an important part of society. Development of the body, mind and soul is important and thus the study of life skills permits students to reflect on their lives, evaluate themselves and be able to make the changes necessary for them to lead a successful student and citizen life. We are not perfect, we all have needs and wants… therefore the study of life skills.  

First Form Mathematics is basically a review of all Math content taught at Primary School. The key to success in school math is to learn to think inside-the-box. In contrast, a key feature of mathematical thinking is thinking outside-the-box – a valuable ability in today’s world. Technical Drawing is a visual means of communicating clearly and concisely all the information (drawings, dimensions, notes, specifications) necessary to transfer an idea or concept into reality.  It is based on the principles of projection in two-dimensional and three-dimensional representations. Technical Drawing has its most common application in the field of manufacturing, engineering, architecture and construction where it is used to document and support the design process.  This is accomplished by communicating ideas about the shape, form, dimensions, materials, manufacturing methods and finishes of articles to be produced. Technical Drawing plays an indispensable role in determining the quality and competitiveness of finished products in the design process. It is, therefore, an important prerequisite and an essential companion for the CSEC Industrial  Technology programmes which provide the foundational competencies in manufacturing and industrialisation in the Caribbean.

This course emphasizes further development of mathematical knowledge and skills to prepare students for success in their everyday lives and in the workplace. The course is organized by three strands related to money sense, measurement and proportional reasoning. In all strands, the focus is on developing mathematical concepts and skills by solving authentic, everyday problems. Students have opportunities to further develop their mathematical literacy and problem-solving skills and to continue developing their skills in reading, writing and oral language through relevant and practical math activities.

Belizean studies assume that this Belizean-ness is being continually constructed by its citizens in a process that mediates concepts of individual identity, human rights, and the nation-state within local, regional and global relationships. These relationships are dominated by strong cultural and geographic links with Central America and the Caribbean and the historical situation of Belize in an interdependent Atlantic system that includes Mesoamerica, North America, Europe, West Africa, and South America. Belizean-ness is also shaped by increasing interactions with the people and cultures of the entire world. Belizean studies, therefore, aims to contribute to a journey in nationhood made by highly conscious, deeply committed, and permanently engaged citizens willing and able to strive for a future premised on the continuous improvement of the quality of life for all its people.

This course will provide students with knowledge of the dynamic nature of agricultural production and the business of farming.

Is a course that equips and acquaints students with computer as well as organizational skills. It enhances them to have a foundation on business documents, their preparation besides learning to be productive and efficient in a business changing world.

       The specific purpose of this subject is to help students to widen their scope of their surroundings, considering themselves as an important part of society by competently using the English Language in different settings. In order for this to occur, the student must learn to express him/herself both in written and spoken form. They will also learn more about themselves in the process of writing sentences with different structures, using parts of speech appropriately, reacting to poetry, and enjoying literature thus enriching their repertoire of words.

This course seeks to help students gain knowledge on the use of Application Software like Excel and Database Management. It will also help students with Problem Solving and Program Design.

This course is designed to develop the mathematical knowledge and skills that students will draw on in their personal and work lives.  This mathematics course builds on students’ prior learning and focuses on developing understanding, fluency, reasoning, computational thinking and problem solving. 

Accounting is the language of business. Students will be equipped with accounting fundamentals and then working through the accounting cycle, and more.

This course provides an overview of the various functions and activities of business enterprises.

It provides opportunity for students to develop entrepreneurial and managerial skills necessary to survive and prosper in a local, regional and global dynamic business environment.
